some unexpected photo's

I recently invested in a film camera (the Canon A-1) and these are just a few photo's taken from the camera, I didn't really know what to expect when I paid for them to become developed but I think these pictures turned out so well!!
I definitely need to learn the functions of it as everything is manual but I absolutely love the film effect and I think taking pictures on a film camera is so much fun! I found a shop here in Macclesfield where they can develop the pictures within the hour so I don't have to wait for days for them, which is never brilliant because I'm ridiculously impatient!
I want to definitely get into street photography and will try and carry my camera around whenever I leave the house as you just never know when theres a chance to take pictures (and also I think it will help me build confidence regarding my photography in general!)

a pretty pattern

Hello there! Now if you know me in real life or have seen me around you will know I am a massive fan for prints (mainly florals); and when I walked into my mum's bathroom her blinds were down and the way the sun was shining through them made them look so so so pretty! I think I finally understand why mum has never thrown them away, as they're so old and don't match with anything! None of the above photo's have been edited and I absolutely love the way the first image has turned out all dark and blue! I did them by braving it and messing about with the TV mode of my camera and I had it on a really small aperture. The last two images was taken on full auto but with the flash turned off and in my opinion the first two are way better!!
I hope soon I will never have to use auto!

blurry and the wrong way round

Like with many people who start off in photography, I felt the need to go into the garden and snap away at the millions of flowers that my mums garden has to offer! I've only had my Polaroid camera since about May, at the most and what I love the most about the camera is the size of images it produces - cute little credit sized photo's which is always just adorable!

I find that overall, I'll need much more practice with being able to focus correctly using the camera and I think if I retake these shots after constant practice of using the camera the retaken shots will be much more apealing! I'm planning on updating this post with retaken images so I can keep a track of how I'm improving, and who knows it might even be useful for you!

a very shy hello

I've always thought of starting a photography blog of the sorts, but I've always considered my photography to not be good enough for anyone to take an interest; but finally I've decided to take the plunge! In the hope that I will become more creative and confident with my photography.
I have a tendency of uploading what I think is the best pictures from a set onto my flickr as I don't like it being crowded, which is what I am hoping will happen on this blog!
